Job summary

VASS US & Canada seeks an SAP BDC Technical Lead to architect and deliver SAP Business Data Cloud solutions across multiple concurrent customer projects. This role blends solution architecture with hands-on development in SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).

You will own the target data architecture, lead delivery on your projects, and build the models and data flows yourself alongside the project team, ensuring standards and performance across engagements.

Responsibilities

• Architect SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere landscapes for multiple customers.
• Lead data modeling, replication flows, transformation flows, and data layers in SAP Datasphere.
• Design and implement replication from SAP source systems using SLT and integration from SAP systems and non-SAP sources.
• Deploy and support SAP Analytics Cloud on top of Datasphere models.
• Lead daily standups, guide developers, and ensure architecture decisions across projects.

Job description

We are seeking an SAP BDC Technical Lead to architect and deliver SAP Business Data Cloud solutions across multiple concurrent customer projects. This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring a blend of solution architecture and day-to-day development in SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT). You will own the target data architecture, lead delivery on your projects, and build the models and data flows yourself alongside the project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Architect SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere landscapes, including space design, connections, and the selection of storage tiers — persisting data in memory versus the object store — based on volume, latency, and cost.
• Hands-On Development: Serve as the lead developer on customer projects, building data models, replication flows, transformation flows, task chains, and persisted versus virtual data layers in SAP Datasphere.
• Data Integration: Design and implement replication from SAP source systems using SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), along with integration from SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BW, and non-SAP sources.
• Analytics Enablement: Deploy and support SAP Analytics Cloud on top of Datasphere models.
• Multi-Project Leadership: Run multiple parallel customer engagements — leading daily standups, guiding developers, and keeping architecture decisions consistent across projects.

Governance & Performance:

Establish modeling standards, data access controls, and performance and space-management practices across the SAP Datasphere and SAP BDC landscape.
