Job summary

CSCI Consulting is seeking a SAP Basis Administrator to support a large-scale modernization initiative, transforming legacy logistics into an integrated SAP S/4HANA environment.

You will collaborate with functional stakeholders, technical teams, and business process owners to design and implement modernized supply chain, transportation, hazardous materials, and logistics processes to improve operational efficiency and data visibility.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, IS or equivalent.
• Hands-on SAP Basis administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, or similar SAP platforms.
• Proven experience with SAP installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
• Experience with SAP HANA databases.
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows running SAP apps.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Solution Manager, Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, SAP BTP, and related components.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SAP systems per best practices.
• Perform kernel upgrades, support package deployments, Enhancement Packages, and SUM-based activities.
• Execute system copies, client copies, refreshes, and landscape cloning.
• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity using SAP tools.
• Troubleshoot SAP Basis issues including performance and transport failures.
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS), including sequencing and migrations across environments.
• Coordinate maintenance windows, technical deployments, and outage communications to minimize disruption.
• Support SAP High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) design, testing, and execution.
• Perform SAP user administration and work with security teams on technical authorization requirements.
• Housekeeping: background job monitoring, spool management, interface checks, and log reviews.
• Collaborate with DBAs on SAP HANA backup, recovery, tuning, and optimization.
• Support integrations with middleware, identity management, authentication platforms, and external systems.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and configuration baselines.
• Assist with ATO, RMF, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for production incident.
• Support cloud‑based SAP environments including SAP RISE and hybrid architecture deployments.
• Provide technical assistance during new deployments, releases, and ongoing sustainment operations.

Job Description CSCI Consulting is looking for a SAP Basis Administrator to support our DoW client. In this role, the consultant will support a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy logistics and transportation management capabilities into an integrated SAP S/4HANA environment. Collaborated with functional stakeholders, technical teams, and business process owners to design and implement modernized supply chain, transportation, hazardous materials, and logistics processes that improved operational efficiency, data visibility, and mission readiness. Contributed to business process reengineering, requirements development, system configuration, testing, data migration, and deployment activities supporting the transition from disparate legacy systems to a unified enterprise platform. Played a key role in enabling standardized business processes, enhanced decision-making, and long-term sustainment of a modern digital logistics ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Administer SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Solution Manager, Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, SAP BTP, and related system components.

• Troubleshoot SAP Basis issues including performance, transport failures, connectivity, and system errors.

• Coordinate maintenance windows, technical deployments, and outage communications to minimize disruption
• Support SAP High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) design, testing, and execution

• Conduct system housekeeping tasks such as background job monitoring, spool management, interface checks, and log reviews

Minimum Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Hands‑on experience administering SAP Basis in enterprise environments
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or similar SAP platforms
• Proven experience with SAP installations, upgrades, patches, and technical migrations
• Strong knowledge of SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
• Experience supporting SAP HANA databases
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems running SAP applications
• Ability to diagnose and resolve SAP performance and availability issues
• Solid understanding of SAP architecture and technical landscape design
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
• Ability to work with clients to understand their needs

• SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP S/4HANA)
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, including Focused Run Experience administering SAP Fiori Experience supporting SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
