Job summary
PACCAR is seeking an SAP Analytics and Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise data, analytics, and reporting solutions across SAP and cloud data platforms. The role focuses on SAP HANA, Snowflake, SAC, SLT, and emerging SAP Datasphere capabilities, while modernizing the analytics landscape.
The position will build data models, replication solutions, data pipelines, and reporting components, and will support existing SAP technologies as workloads transition to newer platforms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on with SAP analytics platforms (HANA, SAC, or BW).
- 2+ years data warehousing, data modeling, and integration.
- Proficiency with SAP data integration and replication technologies (SLT, Data Intelligence, APIs).
- Proficiency with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation.

PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
We are seeking an SAP Analytics and Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise data, analytics, and reporting solutions across PACCAR’s SAP and cloud data platforms. The role will focus on modern data and analytics technologies including SAP HANA, Snowflake, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT), and emerging SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) capabilities such as SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud.
This position will build data models, replication solutions, data pipelines, and reporting solutions while helping modernize PACCAR’s SAP analytics landscape. The role will also support existing SAP technologies, including SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Data Intelligence (DI), and established SAP reporting solutions, as workloads transition to newer platforms.
- Design, develop, and support enterprise analytics and data solutions using SAP HANA, Snowflake, SAP Analytics Cloud, and related technologies.
- Design and optimize SAP HANA calculation views, Snowflake tables and views, analytical models, and reusable data products for reporting and downstream consumption.
- Design, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP data replication and pipelines using SAP SLT, SAP Data Intelligence, APIs, and other integration technologies.
- Develop and support reporting and analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and other enterprise reporting tools.
- Help evolve PACCAR’s SAP data architecture toward SAP Business Data Cloud, including SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud, and migrate appropriate HANA sidecar and legacy data workloads to Snowflake.
- Analyze SAP application data and business requirements to identify appropriate source data, integration patterns, transformation logic, security requirements, and analytical models.
- Develop, test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize end-to-end data solutions, including data quality, reconciliation, performance, security, and production support.
- Support and enhance existing SAP BW, Data Intelligence, BusinessObjects, Web Intelligence, BEx, Analysis for Office, and other established SAP analytics solutions during the transition to strategic platforms.
- Collaborate with business, SAP functional, Basis, security, cloud, and data teams to deliver scalable and supportable solutions, and maintain appropriate technical and operational documentation.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support as required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, information Systems or other related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP analytics platforms (SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, or SAP Business Warehouse)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration solutions
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP data integration and replication technologies (SAP SLT, SAP Data Intelligence, APIs, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation as required
- Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) capabilities including SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud
- Experience with cloud development on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) including CPI, CAPM, or UI5
- Proven track record designing, developing, and supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and data solutions
- Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions
- Experience working independently to resolve complex technical issues under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
