Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Proficient in RICEF development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
• Hands-on experience with ALV, BAPI, BAdI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Experience developing interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, OData, APIs, and web services.
• Strong SQL and database concepts with SAP data structures.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP development.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.
• Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications using ABAP and modern SAP development technologies. The role involves working closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP solutions across ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Develop Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEF) objects.
• Design and develop ABAP Objects, ALV reports, BAPIs, BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework solutions.
• Develop and maintain RFC, IDoc, OData, REST, SOAP, and web service integrations.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications using OData services and ABAP backend development.
• Work with CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP development techniques for SAP S/4HANA.
• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants to understand business requirements and provide technical specifications.
• Perform performance tuning, debugging, root‑cause analysis, and optimization of ABAP programs.
• Develop technical specifications, unit test plans, technical documentation, and deployment procedures.
• Support SAP upgrades, implementations, migrations, enhancements, and production releases.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA conversion and modernization initiatives, including remediation of custom ABAP code.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support.
• Coordinate with integration, security, Basis, functional, and infrastructure teams as required.
• Ensure developed solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong experience with RICEF development.
• Hands‑on experience with ALV, BAPI, BAdI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Experience developing interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, OData, APIs, and web services.
• Strong SQL and database concepts with experience in SAP data structures.
• Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP programming.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services is preferred.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or conversion projects.
• Experience with SAP BTP and cloud‑based SAP integrations.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP, and integration technologies.
• Experience with SAP Workflow and Adobe Forms/Smart Forms.
• Familiarity with ATC, Code Inspector, SAP Solution Manager, and transport management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certification is a plus.
