Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced SAP Developer to design and build modern SAP solutions across S/4HANA and BTP. You will develop scalable ABAP programs, extensions, integrations, and intelligent applications that follow clean-core and cloud-first principles.

The role emphasizes BTP-based development, side-by-side extensibility, API-led integration, and ABAP/S4HANA proficiency. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure,

Qualifications

5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
5+ years of technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, specifications, and designs to build SAP BTP and ABAP solutions.
Develop ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, APIs, and backend services.
Create and maintain modern user interfaces using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts on technical solution design.
Develop, enhance, and support custom Fiori applications and responsive SAPUI5 interfaces.
Integrate ABAP, Fiori, BTP services, SAP modules, and external systems as needed.
Utilize SAP BTP services including BAS, HANA Cloud, RAP, CAP, Integration Suite, Workflow, Event Mesh, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and Generative AI Hub to build clean-core, intelligent solutions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Provide technical guidance on ABAP, BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, and AI‑enabled development.
Document custom code, interfaces, APIs, and technical solutions for support and maintenance.
