Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking an entry-level site Cleaner to perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across the plant and non-production areas. You will handle floor care, stocking, and equipment cleaning while adhering to GMPs and safety standards.

The role involves working varied shifts, lifting, and collaborating with teammates to maintain a safe, clean facility. Applicants should be able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Demonstrates GMPs and safe working habits.
• Able to work with chemicals and industrial cleaners.
• Willing to work any shift, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Clean break rooms, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, locker rooms, windows, doors and hallways of the plant/facility.
• Maintain floors in non-production areas: stripping, waxing, buffing, mopping and vacuuming.
• Stock supplies, take inventory and place weekly orders.
• Organize housekeeping closets and prepare lockers for pesticide treatment.
• Assist with sorting recycle materials and other duties as assigned.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
