Summary of Position:
The Sanitation Worker II works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment and removes refuse.
- Works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment and removes refuse using the following tools: broom, brushes, sprays bottles, mop and ringer, squeegee, water gun, air gun and vacuum.
- Uses industrial strength cleaners, degreasers and sanitizer to clean factory equipment and general plant area, including the assembly and disassembly of equipment in assigned area.
- Operates machinery such as: floor scrubbers, high pressure washers, wash cabinets, cop tank, walkers, walker stackers and rider pallet jacks.
- Maintains work area and ensures area is clean before leaving for the day.
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
- Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.
- Responsible for supporting safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
- One year of sanitation experience required.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Basic math skills required.
- Must have good manual dexterity and vision.
