Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the ability to properly use chemicals as specified.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and re-assembling all equipment assigned.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas at all times.

Skills

Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs

Forklift operator certification

Ability to follow safety procedures

Ability to work in confined spaces

Job description

The Schwebel Baking Company full-time sanitation workers. Must be open to working all 3 shifts and any days of the week.Rate of pay is $16/hour. This is an entry level position; may assist various machine operators, may be assigned a variety of manual labor tasks in the production of bakes goods.Duties may vary from day to day.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. RESPONSIBLE FOR DISASSEMBLING, CLEANING, AND RE-ASSEMBLING ALL EQUIPMENT ASSIGNED. THIS WILL INCLUDEMACHINERY, FLOORS, WALLS, CEILINGS, FLOUR SILOS (INSIDE AND OUT), ETC.
2. RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN GOOD HOUSEKEEPING IN WORK AREA AND IN ADJOINING AREAS AT ALL TIMES.
3. RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN GOOD SAFETY PRACTICES AT ALL TIMES.
4. RESPONSIBLE TO HELP UNLOADING BULK TRAILERS AND INGREDIENT TRUCKS AS NEEDED
5. THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT THE EMPLOYEE BE FORKLIFT OPERATOR CERTIFIED
6. THIS JOB MAY REQUIRE ROTATION
7. SPECIFIC DOWN DAY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: SANITATION UTILITY

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. MUST HAVE ABILITY TO LIFT AND CARRY AT LEAST 50 LBS.
2. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO CLIMB A 20 FOOT EXTENSION LADDER
3. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAUEVER AND WORK IN CONFINED SPACES WITH VARIATIONS IN TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY AND AIR QUALITY
4. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO LIFT AND HOLD OBJECTS OVERHEAD FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME
5. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO WEAR VARIOUS PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SAFETY GLASSES/GOGGLES, EAR PROTECTION, FULL BODY PROTECTION, ETC.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO PROPERLY USE CHEMICALS AS SPECIFIED ON MAUFACTURER’S LABEL
2. MUST DEMOMSTRATE THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW ALL SAFETY PROCEDURES
3. MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW WRITTEN AND VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER
4. MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO READ, COMPREHEND, AND COMPLETE FORMS, LOGS AND DOCUMENTATION AS REQUIRED
