Job description

Compensation : $18 - $20 / hr DOE

Responsibilities :

• Perform detailed sanitation and upkeep of the facility, ensuring all processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized to standards for client processing.
• Maintain facility and surrounding areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Standards.
• Remove trash and soil, clean floors, walls, and ceilings.
• Follow directions from Sanitation Supervisor and Leads.
• Adhere to all sanitation equipment and tool guidelines.
• Wear specified protective gear at all times.

Qualifications :

• Knowledge of chemical usage, proportions, and regulations.
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and listening skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation equipment and tools.
• Understanding of GMPs, Food Safety, and Sanitation Procedures.
• Ability to read and understand SDS.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience as a janitor, custodian, cleaner, or similar role, with at least 1 year of sanitation experience.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to safety procedures, especially when working with machinery.
• Ability to work in a team and accept change.

Physical Requirements :

• Lift up to 50 lbs (garbage removal) and 70 lbs with equipment.
• Work with chemical cleaning solutions following safety protocols.
• Perform repetitive tasks including standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing.
• Work in cold and wet environments (~34°F).
• Reliable transportation required.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed.
