Job summary

Vistar in Portland, OR is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe workplace and support America’s food distribution system.

You will perform general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation tasks in warehouse areas, including dry, cooler and freezer sections, and may work in offices. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of sanitation/ cleaning experience; post-offer drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• General sanitation, cleaning and sanitation related tasks in warehouse settings.
• Work requiring safe handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
