Job summary

Richardson Durum Milling, a division of Richardson International, is seeking a Sanitation Utility/Laboratory Assistant at our durum mill in St. Louis, MO. You will perform sanitation and fumigation tasks, assist QA lab, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a 1st shift (7am–3pm), weekends and OT as needed, plus the ability to climb and lift up to 50 pounds. Prior fumigation or plant sanitation experience is preferred. Apply by October 29, 2026.

Qualifications

• Non-commercial (7C) Applicator License required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Understanding of technical procedures and ability to follow protocols.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of railcars and trailers and seals.
• Assist Plant Sanitarian and QA lab when not performing other duties.
• Back-up fumigator for railcar/trailer fumigation.
• Inspect incoming railcars for cleanliness and proper seals.
• Maintain logs and monthly sanitation inspection reports.
• Spray facility floors for insect control and manage supplies.
• Order uniforms and support inventory and purchasing as needed.

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for performing various job duties and responsibilities related to fumigation and sanitation for the U.S. Durum Milling and Richardson Elevator entities.**Responsibilities:*** Daily inspection of railcars and trailers and checking seals on railcars.* Assist Plant Sanitarian and Quality Control lab when not performing other duties.* Serve as back-up fumigator for fumigation of railcars and trailers.
