Job summary

The T. Marzetti Company is hiring a sanitation associate to keep our Vineland, NJ plant clean and safe. You will execute daily sanitation tasks, follow SSOPs and HACCP guidelines, and partner with the sanitation manager and QC to address issues.

You must be able to operate CIP equipment, train others when needed, and work weekend shifts as required in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting with repetitive work preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team members and management.
• Basic math and reading comprehension for procedural tasks.
• Able to read and interpret written and verbal directions in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support plant safety, food safety, and GMP goals as top priorities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the plant and grounds daily.
• Clean all equipment and surfaces following sanitation steps and checklists.
• Work with sanitation manager and QC to address cleaning deficiencies.
• Assist in setup for production and tear-down for deep cleaning.
• Identify sanitation improvements, safety risks, and process improvements.
• Operate CIP system and use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Maintain PPE and safety equipment and follow HACCP/GMP policies.
