Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a Sanitation Technician to follow SOPs for cleaning production equipment, ensuring safety and hygiene. You will record sanitation activities, and update supervisors on progress and any non-routine issues.

The role requires ability to work on second shift (2:00PM–10:30PM) with procedures to clean idle equipment, kitchens, and lines, plus reporting responsibilities; starting pay is $17.75/hr with shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.

• Must be capable of being productive on second-shift scheduling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop or crouch. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
• The employee may occasionally move up to 45-50 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills

• Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Starting Pay: Sanitation Technician Level I $17.75/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
