Job summary

TEC Services is seeking a diligent Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness across a food distribution center, from dry storage to exterior grounds. The role emphasizes food safety, hygiene, and the use of cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers and pressure washers.

The ideal candidate will understand HACCP and GMP standards, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and work on varied surfaces including cold storage areas.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuums.
• Ability to work from elevated surfaces such as boom lifts and/or scissor lifts.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness in various areas.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and dispose of trash and debris in designated areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, aisles, and storage areas.
• Empty bins and maintain recycling areas.
• Clean dock areas, under dock plates, and equipment surfaces.
• Remove cobwebs and clean walls, corners, and ceilings.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, offices, break rooms, and common areas.
