Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Sanitation Technician to help maintain a clean and compliant plant. You will follow the sanitation schedule, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure safety and quality across production areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to clean areas on production machines.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule to clean and sanitize all areas of the plant, ensuring food safety and quality in every step of production.
• Operate powered cleaning equipment, including power washers, steamers, foam applicators, and more, to maintain a spotless facility and equipment.
• Safely disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation, preventing contamination and ensuring thorough cleaning.
• Operate equipment such as floor jacks, trash compactors, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any spills or contamination risks, keeping the facility in top condition.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), follow proper lifting techniques, and adhere to all safety standards to ensure personal and team safety.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency.

Join our dedicated team in King’s Mountain, NC to help maintain the high standards that make Utz a trusted name in food. Sanitation Schedule

• Week A: Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Week B: Thursday through Saturday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Sunday (Kettle Sanitation): 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM, with the possibility of working until 10:00 AM or later, depending on the completion of critical sanitation tasks.
