Staffmark Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility environment. The role focuses on cleaning production areas, restrooms, and common spaces while adhering to GMPs and safety protocols.

The position requires following SOPs, handling cleaning chemicals safely, and supporting a team-driven effort to ensure product safety and quality. Pay is $20.00 per hour with Sunday through Thursday overnight schedule.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment, production areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Follow sanitation schedules and SOPs.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety protocols.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, drains, walls and other surfaces as assigned.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables properly and maintain waste areas.
• Assist in deep cleaning during shutdowns or as required.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
• Support GMPs, OSHA, FDA, USDA or other applicable standards.
• Work with production and QA teams to maintain facility cleanliness.

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role ensures compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and food safety requirements. The position involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and common spaces to support production efficiency and product safety and quality.

This opportunity is based on a Janitor/Custodian career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.

Job Duties

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment, production areas, restrooms, and common spaces
• Follow sanitation schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow all safety protocols
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, drains, walls, and other surfaces as assigned
• Dispose of waste and recyclables properly and maintain waste areas
• Assist in deep cleaning during shutdowns or as required
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly
• Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), OSHA, FDA, USDA, or other applicable standards
• Work collaboratively with production and quality assurance teams to maintain facility cleanliness.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, or custodial experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
• Ability to work in hot and wet environments
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to safely use common cleaning equipment, tools, and cleaning products.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently while following cleaning schedules and established procedures.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Dependable work habits and a commitment to maintaining clean, professional facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Food Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Previous experience cleaning commercial, industrial, office, healthcare, educational, or manufacturing facilities is preferred.
• Experience operating floor care equipment, buffers, scrubbers, or other custodial equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemical usage, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and pride in their work are well positioned for success as a Sanitation Technician.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts and equipment.
• Ability to work in a variety of indoor environments while following established safety procedures.
