Job summary

Classic Salads in Arizona is seeking a dedicated sanitation worker to support the sanitation and production teams in a food manufacturing environment. You will follow all SOPs, operate basic sanitation equipment, and assist with weekly cleaning tasks while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires forklift licensing, the ability to work overtime, weekends, and in cold conditions; prior experience in food safety and GMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Forklift license required.
• Able to follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including basic policies.
• Complete Standard Sanitation Procedures and CS-SOPs.
• Clean areas inside/outside exposed product rooms away from product contact surfaces.
• Perform work according to SSOPs and master sanitation.
• Clean with supervision on food contact surfaces and adjacent areas.
• Operate chemical dispensing equipment and sanitation machinery.
• Clean around outside company grounds.
• Wear required PPE: bump cap, hearing protection, hair/beard nets, eye protection, gloves, shoes, etc.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to work under pressure and time requirements.
• Able to work in a cold/wet environment (34-36 °F).
• Use a pallet jack manually occasionally.
• Report all injuries and incidents to supervisor/manager.
• Forklift license required.
• Use basic math and organization skills daily.
• Be conscious to reduce material spoilage.
• Follow OSHA forklift requirements.
• Complete forklift inspections daily.
