Job Summary

The responsibility of the Sanitization Tech will be to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Sanitization Tech will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and ceilings, cleaning, dusting, and removing trash. This position will work closely with the quality department in maintaining a sanitary environment for product safety. This position may be responsible for operating forklifts, and floor scrubbing equipment. Requires excellent observation and auditing skills as well as a good understanding of GMPs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and complete sanitation functions ensuring that environmental procedures are being followed
  • Follow SOPs related to sanitation
  • Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly condition
  • Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Perform daily concentration checks on cleaning chemicals
  • Perform daily hygiene checks
  • Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation problems and recommend changes in equipment or work practices to improve sanitation standards.
  • Ensure that cleaning activities do not pose contamination risk to the products
  • Follow proper waste removal practices
  • Ensure that dedicated cleaning tools are used in the appropriate locations
  • Adherence to all safety and GMP policies

  • Proficiency in English language, written and spoken

  • Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds unaided on a regular basis
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time depending on your position and/or getting up and down through your work shift
