Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a sanitation team member at our Rochester, NY location. You will respond quickly to spills and maintenance needs, operate cleaning-related equipment, and keep warehouses and common areas clean and organized. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company guidelines.

Evening, Overnight shifts including weekends, with full-time hours. Training and PPE are provided as part of a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to spills, breaks, clogged drains, and other maintenance needs
• Operate balers and compactors; load pallets and recyclables onto trailers
• Maintain organized, well-stocked supply and maintenance areas
• Complete cleaning tasks independently (restrooms, floors, offices, common areas)
• Clean warehouse aisles and docks; organize pallets, totes, and other assets
• Safely use equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbers) and follow all safety, sanitation, and company guidelines
