Job summary

Valley Services, a family-owned sanitation and construction solutions provider in downtown San Jose, is seeking a Sanitation Service Driver. You will operate a company truck to service portable toilets, sinks, and holding tanks along a fixed route, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include inspections, loading/unloading, customer service, and accurate DOT logs. The role requires good driving skills, physical ability to lift 75 pounds, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL with tanker endorsements.
• Valid DOT Medical Card/Certificate.
• Minimum 1–2 years of driving experience.
• Must pass drug screening and physical.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to maneuver trucks into tight spaces.
• Strong work ethic.
• No prior portable toilet service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely load/unload, stock the truck with supplies, and secure the load.
• Drive the truck along the designated route and service each customer site.
• Provide excellent on-site customer service.
• Load/unload one to two toilets, sinks, or holding tanks on the tailgate.
• Maintain a clean truck and stocked supplies; transfer waste daily.
• Service rentals with high-quality service.
• Provide routing feedback to the Operations Manager/Supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Report issues to the dispatcher promptly.
• Provide professional, friendly customer service.
• Submit DOT logs, route/productive sheet, and vehicle condition reports.
