Job summary

King Soopers in Colorado is seeking team members to uphold store cleanliness and safety standards. You will assist customers, perform sanitation tasks, and help maintain entrances and public areas with a focus on safe food handling and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and assistance to store customers.
• Practice safe food handling procedures and sanitation.
• Clean and maintain store floors and public areas.
• Restrooms, dispensers and trash removal throughout the store.
• Move and organize displays and equipment for cleaning.
• Replace light bulbs and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Shampoo and vacuum mats and rugs; use cleaning tools properly.
• Spread ice melt and snow removal from entrances as needed.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance when required.

Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout the store in adherence to company standards and health department regulations. Clean and maintain exterior front entrance and sidewalk conditions, practice safe food handling procedure, and provide customer service. MINIMUM

• Ability to read a technical manual, retain, and comprehend
• Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, multiplication, subtraction and division
• Reading/writing skills to complete forms
• Ability to work as a team member

• Ability to utilize safety awareness and practices

DESIRED

• Provide customer service and communicate effectively with store associates
• Practice safe food handling procedures
• Utilize and operate equipment to clean and maintain floor conditions throughout the store
• Clean public rest rooms and fill towel, tissue and soap dispensers; empty and dispose of trash throughout store
• Clean walls, vents and ceilings; exterminate rodents and insects; dismantle, clean and reassemble refrigerated cases
• Move equipment and non-stationary displays to facilitate cleaning
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
• Clean and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies in departments
• Shampoo and vacuum mats and rugs; follow after hand scrubber and trail mops
• Mix cleansers and sanitizers properly for best results and safety
• Spread ice melt and shovel snow from front entrance and sidewalks as needed
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment when needed
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
