Job summary

Factor_, a brand of HelloFresh, seeks a Sanitation Manager to develop and continuously improve sanitation programs, policies and KPIs for the facility. You will write procedures, maintain cleaning schedules, manage chemical inventory, and lead the sanitation team while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s in food science or related field with 2–4 years in plant sanitation, and involves audits, training, and cross-functional collaboration within HelloFresh.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2–4 years in plant quality/food safety/sanitation.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and environmental sanitation required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sanitation programs, policies and SOPs.
• Maintain and update master cleaning schedules per GMP and Factor guidelines.
• Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory.
• Lead, coach and develop sanitation team for progression.
• Participate in audits and facility inspections with QA management.
• Ensure safety requirements for sanitation, including chemical storage and PPE.

Job Description

Factor_ a brand of HelloFresh is seeking a Sanitation Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve on sanitation programs, policies and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the facility.

You will...

• Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that sanitary performance meets Factor standards as well as supports Food Safety requirements and regulatory compliance
• Maintain and write detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment
• Maintain and update master cleaning schedule for plant according to GMP and Factor guidelines
• Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory
• Build and maintain relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, and various departments within HelloFresh
• Effectively engage, coach, motivate and lead the sanitation team for career progression and development
• Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre-operational inspection with QA Management
• Develop and implement all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed
• Ensure all safety requirements related to sanitation are met including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum, you have...

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related business equivalent/2-4 years of plant quality/food safety/sanitation experience.
• Must have the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Must display strong leadership qualities
• Knowledge of the GMP, HACCP and Environmental sanitation program is required.
• Experience with third party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, USDA is preferred
• Understands and can apply basic microbiological principle
