Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking dedicated sanitation personnel for the 3rd shift to clean and scour equipment in compliance with food safety standards. The role runs 10:00pm–7:00am, 8–10 hour days, with some Saturdays required.

Responsibilities include equipment sanitation, use of pressure hoses, and adherence to safety and GMP/SQF requirements. Employees must meet physical demands and be able to work in cold, humid environments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a cold, humid environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions.

• Perform general housekeeping duties

Sanitation 3rd Shift

Job Summary:

Indiana Packers is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team to fulfill our Sanitation 3rd Shift positions. As a Sanitation team member, you will clean and scour equipment to comply with all food safety requirements.

This factory position is needed for 8 to 10 hours a day, including some Saturdays. Third shift hours are from 10:00pm - 7:00am.

Responsibilities:

• Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment
• Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment
• Scour equipment with chemical as needed
• Cleaning of pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements

Qualifications: All applicants must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to work in a cold, humid, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
• Must be able to grip with wrist
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive motions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team setting.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to cold temperatures and damp environments, and a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near mechanical parts and in cold conditions that include humidity, and exposure to dust.

The position lifts heavy objects up to 50 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, reach low and high, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arms and fingers, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina and vision.

This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $20.50 per hour for the 3rd shift.
