Job summary

Allen Distribution is seeking a Sanitation associate for the 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm, Mon–Fri) in Carlisle, PA to maintain a clean facility and ensure product safety. The role requires a commitment to health and safety and a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities include cleaning production areas, emptying trash, inspecting refrigerators, removing spider webs around forklift zones, vacuuming, sweeping, and keeping break rooms tidy.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean bug lights as needed using hot soapy water. Replace bulbs.
• Empty trash daily in all areas of your building.
• Inspect refrigerators for spillage, clean with hot soapy water.
• Remove spider webs around forklift areas, racking and perimeter edges.
• Vacuum carpet areas.
• Sweep and pick up debris off the warehouse floor.
• Vacuum cracks in the dock plates.
• Clean exit door perimeters.
• Empty trash, sweep and mop, clean tables chairs and counters in the employee lunchroom/breakroom.
• Dust dock doors and clean dock lights.
• Maintain clean windows and mirrors.
• Follow established Dock Safety practices.
• Prepare cleaning supplies per manufacturer recommendations.
• Report all equipment malfunctions to management.
• Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.
• Inspect perimeter for evidence of rodents/bird infestation and cleanliness.
• Assist in other areas during cleanup day when requested.

• Empty trash, sweep and mop, clean tables chairs and counters in the employee lunchroom/breakroom.
• Dust dock doors and clean dock lights.
• Maintain clean windows and mirrors.

Safety:

• Follow established Dock Safety practices.
• Prepare cleaning supplies for use per manufacturer recommendations.
• Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
• Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.

Quality:

• Inspect perimeter of of building for evidence or rodents, bird infestation, cleanliness and security of the building including wall panels. Report any captures to Distribution Manager.

Initiative:

• Assist in other areas and on clean up day when requested.
