Job summary

Subway is seeking a Team Member at our Baldwin Park location. As a Sandwich Artist, you will focus on guest experience, prepare and serve fresh food, and help keep the restaurant clean and welcoming for guests.

No previous experience is required; education can be as minimal as some high school or equivalent. Training will cover your roles and responsibilities, with opportunities to gain scholarship credits and campus courses. Shifts vary by location and include full- and part-time options.

Qualifications

• Understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate the Point of Sale system.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.

• Assist Guests by explaining menu options and fulfilling orders from start to finish.

Key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Working with our Guests to knowledgeably recommend meal options and fulfill their orders from start to finish
• Upholding food safety standards as you prepare and serve fresh food daily
• Working with your teammates to keep all areas of the restaurant clean while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for our Guests

PREREQUISITES

Education : Some high school or equivalent

Experience : No previous experience required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical : Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
