Job summary

CPP Corporation is seeking a Sandblaster at its Albany, OR facility (Swing Shift) to perform surface preparation of titanium castings using a sandblaster and chem milling prep tasks.

You will move parts, complete paperwork, mask castings, and support safety, with opportunities for growth across the aerospace supply chain; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and a quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED or relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Must consent to pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblast machine to clean material surface.
• Move titanium castings to different areas of the facility.
• Process parts from a dryer after chem milling.
• Complete paperwork to ensure documentation is accurate.
• Mask castings as directed by the Dimensional Inspection department.
• Assist with general department clean-up and debris removal.
• Follow safety rules and safe work practices.
• Inventory supply items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose

A Sandblaster does surface preparation of titanium castings prior to and following chem milling parts using a material mixture of coarse sand and compressed air.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Uses sandblast machine to clean material surface.
• Moves parts (titanium castings) to various areas of the facility.
• Processes parts out of a dryer after chem milling.
• Handles paperwork to ensure documentation is complete and correct.
• Masks castings as directed by the Dimensional Inspection department.
• Assists with general departmental clean-up which may include sweeping and shoveling of debris.
• Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.
• Inventories supply items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrates ability to work safely and productively in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid job history including 1 year at former or recent employer.
• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting.

Working Conditions

• The job is performed under moderate working conditions with some exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and machinery.
• Safety shoe, hearing and eye protection required.

• Swing Shift - Monday-Thursday (4x10) 4:00 pm to 2:30 am
