Job summary

Express Employment Professionals of Mount Vernon is recruiting a Sandblast/Painter to prepare surfaces, apply coatings and inspect finished products for quality. You will mask, sandblast, paint structural components, and move materials within the blast/paint area.

The role requires understanding painting equipment, basic industrial paint mixing, and the ability to identify materials by dimensions. Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with a $25.00 hourly pay and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of painting equipment and supplies.
• Basic to industrial paint mixing and application experience.
• Ability to identify materials by dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Mask skids for sandblasting and painting.
• Clean and prepare skids for painting.
• Perform rigging techniques as per industry standards.
• Operate forklift to move material into, around and out of the blast/paint area.
• Shovel and/or pour abrasives such as sand or grit into the machine hopper.
• Mask specific areas of object to protect from abrading actions.
• Examine finished product to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Prepare finished product for shipping.
• Report all non-conforming material to the department Supervisor.

Express Employment Professionals of Mount Vernon is recruiting skilled and detail-oriented Sandblast/Painters to join our client’s team. As a Sandblast/Painter, you will be responsible for abrading surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to prepare them for painting, painting structural steel components, skids, vessels and pipes, includes moving material to and from the blasting/painting areas.

Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 2:30PM
