Job summary

Mashreq in New York seeks a Sanctions Analyst to review, analyze, and disposition sanctions screening alerts across cross-border payments and correspondent banking. You will ensure OFAC and BSA compliance and collaborate with the Sanctions Manager to mitigate sanctions risk.

The role involves conducting detailed name matching, researching sanctions, escalating cases as needed, and documenting conclusions with clear rationale while supporting regulatory decision-making and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CAMS/CGSS strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years in sanctions compliance, screening or financial crime.
• Experience with OFAC regulations and sanctions lists.
• Knowledge of cross-border payment processes and correspondent banking.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review sanctions screening alerts and disposition outcomes.
• Conduct OFAC investigations and escalation as needed.
• Perform detailed name matching and sanctions research.
• Document rationale and evidence for all dispositions.
• Assist in keeping policies up-to-date with regulatory changes.
