As the Office Practice Leader, you will lead the Health consulting business in San Francisco with full P&L accountability, shaping market strategy and driving financial success. You will manage all aspects of finances, ensure profitable client relationships, and define the long-term business strategy at the market level in alignment with global and regional priorities. This is a leadership role where you will direct large, complex client engagements, leverage your market presence, and develop a high-performing team of consulting professionals.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of finances, including budgeting, staffing, and strategy, while contributing to the financial success of the business and market overall.

  • Manage client revenue levels and profitability by ensuring profitable client relationships are formed, maintained, and extended through cross-selling and new client acquisition.

  • Thrive and be motivated by an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.

  • Define and implement long-term business strategy at the market level, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategic priorities while providing clear direction and accountability.

  • Lead key client engagements and large, complex projects by directing project teams, developing strategic solutions that address client needs and issues, and managing overall service delivery.

  • Generate revenue through acquisition of new clients, cross-selling to current clients, and extending current client engagements while establishing and maintaining market contacts with financial and HR executives and C-suite members.

  • Leverage the company’s size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors.

  • Hire, manage, develop, and evaluate a team of professionals by providing effective performance feedback, fostering career development, and driving engagement through frequent communication and dialogue.

What you need to have:
  • Proven track record in a leadership or practice leader role within management consulting, or professional services, demonstrating P&L management and business development success.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage complex financial metrics, drive profitability, and balance growth with sustainable margin management in a competitive market.

  • Excellent people leadership skills with experience building, developing, and motivating high-performing consulting teams in a collaborative environment.

What makes you stand out:
  • Experience with thought leadership and market presence through writing articles, case studies, or speaking at industry seminars and conferences.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new intellectual capital and contribute to business innovation initiatives.

  • Experience in the San Francisco Bay Area market with established relationships and deep knowledge of the local business community.

Why join our team:
  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.

  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
