Job summary

Simplexity Product Development seeks an Electro-mechanical Technician for our San Diego area office. You will assemble, wire, and build complex electro-mechanical instruments with attention to detail and strong technical aptitude.

Responsibilities include soldering, cable assembly, CAD-based subsystem understanding, and meticulous documentation of work and issues in our defect tracking system. Onsite work in Rancho Bernardo/San Diego area is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate or vocational degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of applicable electro-mechanical experience is desirable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and planning ability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and debug new products, machines, and instruments.
  • Solder, build cables, and perform electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Use CAD tools and documentation to understand subsystems assembly.
  • Document work and issues in cloud-based defect tracking system.
  • Maintain organized build area and clean shop.
