Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Metal Process Technician in Austin, TX to support manufacturing and system operations. You will perform setup and calibration tasks, provide system support, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform failure analysis and quality testing on advanced logic devices.

You will use SOPs and data-driven methods to optimize processes, collaborate with engineers and operators, and uphold health and safety guidelines.

Position Summary

As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Metal Process Technician, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of advanced logic devices. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. This role determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you'll need:

Performing Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.

Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.

Monitoring Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.

Working in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.

The current base salary range for this role is between $41.00 - $55.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
