Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Texas is seeking a part-time sampler technician to support environmental monitoring programs in the College Station area. You will collect samples, document results, and ship materials to the Carrollton, TX lab on a regular schedule, with shifts on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

This non-lab role requires following protocols, ensuring safety, and accurate data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree and/or background in sciences preferred.
• DOT Certificate required within 90 days of date of hire; valid state driver's license required for driving responsibilities.
• State and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste facilities may apply based on location and client.

Responsibilities

• Collects, documents, packages, and ships samples per project protocols.
• Assists with routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs.
• Assists with routine sample preparation and/or analyses, generally on site for mobile lab operations or screening surveys.
• Completes documents and ensures quality control of all assignments.
• Follows and enforces company health and safety policies.
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance.

Job Description

Assists with routine and non-routine sampling, monitoring, and data collection activities in support of environmental monitoring programs and client service requests. Must be willing to work weekends/holidays as needed. This is not a lab based role.

The sampler technician is responsible for collecting samples in / near the College Station, TX area and shipping samples to the Carrollton, TX lab.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects, documents, packages, and ships samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols.
• Assists with routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites.
• Assists with routine sample preparation and/or analyses, generally on site, in support of mobile laboratory operations or screening surveys.
• Completes documents and is responsible for quality control of all assignments.
• Follows and enforces company health and safety policies.
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree and/or background in sciences are preferred.

Experience:

• May require training in site remediation and hazard protection.
• Department of Transportation (DOT) Certificate is required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of date of hire.
• A valid state issued driver's license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
• Local, state, or additional client certifications may be required based on location and client request.
• State and federal regulations regarding management of potentially hazardous waste facilities required
• Reading maps and following directions
• Operating a motor vehicle

Additional Information

This is a part time position (not to exceed 34 hrs per week). Work shifts are on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (hours can vary ).

compensation: $18 - $21/ hr (DOE)

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
