Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a hands-on candidate to perform high-quality assay sampling and timely delivery of samples under supervision. The role supports Tech Services by maintaining sampling quality and adhering to Kinross values.

The incumbent will operate sampling tools, work outdoors in all weather, and comply with safety, environmental and confidentiality policies while meeting performance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Must be self-motivated and able to find work without instruction.
  • General understanding of mining operations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience working safely near moving equipment preferred.
  • Experience driving on pit ramps preferred.
  • Must be fit to wear a respirator.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to shovel and lift sample bags up to 20 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of PC word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Must be 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Requires valid driver’s license.

  • Works without risk or harm to self and others.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance required.
  • Help the department personnel to perform duties listed above.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
