Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Sample Registration Clerk in Battle Creek, MI to receive samples, enter pertinent information, and coordinate with the testing team. You will ensure data integrity and compliance with SOPs while supporting daily reporting and invoicing tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, fast typing, and US work authorization. Overtime may be required, and an associate degree is preferred for advancement opportunities within Eurofins USA Food Testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Typing at least 45 words per minute.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples for analysis and enter testing, reporting, and billing information per SOPs.
• Handle and distribute samples for testing.
• Follow Quality System documents and SOPs.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate with technical staff to meet testing expectations.
• Generate reports and maintain accurate records of samples and shipments.

Job Description

This position is not for immediate hire.

The Sample Registration Clerk receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Sample Registration Supervisor or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities and has the authority to take action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position and to identify the occurrence of departures from the quality system or from the procedures for performing tests and/or calibrations, so long as such action does not deviate from established company guidelines, is consistent with sound technical and business judgment, and follows the practices of the laboratory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Receive samples for analysis and enters all pertinent information concerning testing, reporting, and billing of samples in the computer system per applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Properly handle and distribute samples for testing
• Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual and Standard Operating Policies and Procedures (SOPPs).
• Handle samples according to instructions received from clients.
• Operate standard office equipment including computers and copiers.
• Work interactively with the technical staff to help ensure that clients’ expectations are met with regards to testing, reporting, and invoicing.
• Generate reports for daily department sample schedules, shipping lists for samples to be sent to other laboratory locations for testing; and other required information.
• Assemble samples to be prepared for analyses and samples to be delivered to the other laboratory locations for testing; maintain records of the samples shipped to other laboratories.
• Maintain neat and accurate records.
• Maintain files of information received with samples.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with other company employees.
• Communicate clearly orally and in writing to co-workers.
• Proficient typing ability, accuracy, and speed.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
