Tentamus North America seeks a Sample Management Technician to join Analytical Food Laboratories in Grand Prairie, TX. You will help maintain accurate sample records and support daily lab operations while adhering to lab standards.

Reporting to the Sample Management Lead, you will receive samples, review documentation, and ensure proper storage and disposal on schedule. A valid driver’s license and travel for local pickups may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with strong data entry and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples and review accompanying documentation.
• Maintain accurate sample records and tracking through the LIMS.
• Ensure proper storage conditions and dispose samples after designated timeframe.
• Assist with local pickups and support other departments as needed.
• Perform cleaning, opening/closing duties, and paperwork management.

TENTAMUS NORTH AMERICA IS ON THE HUNT FOR A SAMPLE MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN TO JOIN OUR TEAM AT ANALYTICAL FOOD LABORATORIES IN GRAND PRAIRIE, TX!

As the Sample Management Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team that values smart thinking and problem-solving skills. Your role will be crucial in maintaining accurate sample records and ensuring smooth laboratory operations.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AS A VITAL PART OF OUR TEAM:

Under the direction of the Sample Management Lead, your day will be filled with exciting tasks such as receiving samples, reviewing accompanying documentation, and ensuring proper storage conditions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the samples and disposing of them after the designated timeframe. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist with local pickups, adding a touch of variety to your daily routine. Other duties include:

• Maintain accurate and efficient system for tracking and processing of samples into Analytical Food Laboratories from check-in at the facility through disposal utilizing Laboratory Information Management System and other procedures and protocols in adherence to the standards of ISO/IEC 17025, NELAC, and all other accrediting/certifying agencies.


• Assist with the preparation of storage studies.


• Perform routine cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting throughout laboratory.


• Perform opening/closing of sample management department in accordance with Quality Management System.


• Perform support duties to the Microbiology, Chemistry, and Vendor Compliance Departments, including but not limited to supply stocking, sample preparation, plate/Petrifilm preparation, and paperwork management.


• Perform additional duties as required.

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position, onsite at Analytical Food Laboratories.

The regular schedule is Monday – Friday - 10:00AM – Close with a 1hr unpaid lunch. | OT Eligible

TO EXCEL AS THE SAMPLE MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN

The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely, without restrictions or sponsorship, have impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sample handling and documentation and have strong communication skills. Other qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Strong Data Entry and Computer Skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Highly motivated and enjoys problem solving


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs like Excel.


• Hold a valid driver's license and willingness to travel for assisting with local sample pickups efficiently.


• Previous experience driving in a work setting is a plus!


• Strong attention to detail and ability to think on feet
