Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a sample maker in women's knitwear.
• Experience in designer/contemporary level production.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Create samples for knits dresses, gowns, and swimwear.
• Assess fabrications, stretch, and tension to ensure fit and drape.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to refine samples.

SAMPLEMAKER for Iconic Designer Brand for knits dresses and bodywear. Must be very experienced in all fabrications and styles. We are a 90% cut and sew knits company. Understanding stretch & tension when sewing is important. This is a full time very well paying position with benefits. We are a designer company using knitted fabrics and stretch making dresses gowns suiting and swimwear. Each of our sample makers has a specialty and we are looking for three top quality sample makers looking for permanent full time work in New York City. We offer overtime and excellent benefits and an environment where pride and creativity are the joy of the work we do together. Experience is critical to the requirements for the position. Related experience in the women's clothing business at the designer or designer contemporary level.

Must speak English.

No less than 10yrs experience.
