Job summary

S&S Activewear LLC is seeking a Sample Coordinator in Bridgeport, CT to manage sample inventory, packing, and shipping while supporting trade shows and mailings. You will ensure accuracy and quality of samples and help the team meet goals in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to follow directions; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Regular full-time hours, Monday–Friday, with manual labor and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; English required; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow directions, stay organized and adaptable to changes.
• Strong basic math, accurate counting and quick numerical tasks.
• MS Office, familiarity with NetSuite, Made4Net and shipping systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sample inventory, pick, pack and ship sample orders efficiently.
• Support tradeshows, mailings and events; prepare kits for shows.
• Verify packing quality and imprinting; ensure compliance like hazmat handling.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments; prepare skids for shipment.
• Respond to inquiries about orders, status, and sample policies; troubleshoot issues.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sample Coordinator is responsible for maintaining sample inventory, picking packing, shipping sample orders, working on tradeshows, special mailings, and supporting the sample team to reach goals.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Hourly

Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm), Full-Time, Non-Exempt

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work with MS office, Net Suite and Made4Net, Tech ship to complete tasks.
• Follow instructions associated with sample orders such as ship dates, special requests, and compliances like Hazardous materials.
• Confirm the quality, imprint, and packaging of product is met when they arrive and prior to shipping.
• Prepare kits for mailings and shows.
• Choose the appropriate packing for shipments.
• Ship domestic, international, hazardous Material through Tech ship, UPS, FedEx, USPS and others as necessary.
• Prepare skids for shipment
• Answer inquiries regarding product, order status, tracking information, sample policy, events, and shows.
• Troubleshoot issues and customer complaints as they arise and work to resolve them.
• Communicate issues with inventory, packing, shipping, mailings, and shows.
• Maintain adequate Inventory, packing and shipping materials.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure clarity. English a must, Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract quickly and accurately.
• Keyboarding skills – accuracy is important

• FedEx, UPS, USPS, Hazmat, and international shipping a plus
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to work independently, self motivated, and with a team
• High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee may stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus.
