Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Sample Control Assistant for our El Dorado Hills, CA laboratory. You’ll ensure samples are received, documented, stored correctly, and discrepancies are flagged. You’ll join a collaborative team performing duties that advance scientific work and ensure client expectations are met.

The role is a temporary position lasting 4–6 months with 20 hours/week part-time schedule, and full-time may be available based on business needs. Strong safety and lab practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some lab experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety.
• Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written).
• Able to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Well organized and have an attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Log in samples.
• Disposal of sample upon project completion.
• Shipment of bottles and sample kits to clients.
• Cleaning and shipping of coolers.
• Monitor temperatures of all refrigeration units.
• Perform all duties per SOPs and lab safety policies.
• Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program.
• Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan.
• Other duties as assigned.

ADay in theLife

As a Sample Control Assistant in our El Dorado Hills, CA Laboratory, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that samples received, documentedand stored correctly. Sample Control Assistants are responsible for notifying theGroup Leaderto receipt, volume, preservation, labeling, or other discrepancies that could affect the laboratory’s ability to meet the expectations of our clients. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e.g. pathogens or chemicals). They will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 to $21.00/hour, commensuratewith experience, skills, and geographic location.

Assignment Duration: Temporary Position 4-6 months

Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours/week Or Full-Time may be available based on business needs
