Job summary

Zymo Research is seeking a Portfolio Commercialization Manager to bridge scientific innovations and the market, translating complex technologies into clear customer value propositions and go-to-market strategies. Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (MS/PhD strongly preferred; BS with significant relevant experience considered).
• 3–7 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercialization within the life sciences tools or biotechnology industry.
• Familiarity with sample collection, stabilization, and preservation technologies and associated molecular workflows.
• Hands-on understanding of molecular biology, genomics, microbiomics, diagnostics, or adjacent research fields.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex science into market-ready positioning.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Science to Market: translate technical innovations into customer-facing value propositions and develop clear positioning.
• Drive Adoption & Growth: own product portfolios, manage lifecycle, and develop GTM campaigns and pricing strategies.
• Market Insight & Strategy: identify customer needs, conduct market research, monitor competition, and build roadmaps.
• Training & Sales Enablement: equip teams with messaging, collateral, and sales tools.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: partner with R&D, sales and operations to synchronize launches and commercialization.
