Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have a nursing degree (Diploma/ADN/BSN), BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care RN experience; weekend and holiday shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate materials.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
