Job summary

Chapters Living in Sharonville, OH, seeks a compassionate Chauffeur to transport residents to appointments, events, and activities. You will ensure passenger safety and comfort, assist with wheelchairs and walkers, and maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.

This role requires a valid license, clean driving record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and prior experience driving large vehicles. CPR/first aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving large vehicles such as vans or buses.
• Familiarity with assistive devices such as wheelchairs and walkers.
• CPR and first aid certification is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents in and out of the vehicle.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
• Experience working in assisted living or with elderly populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments, social events, and other destinations as requested.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transportation.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, including wheelchairs and walkers.
• Maintain accurate transportation schedules and destinations.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained with regular check-ups.
• Track fuel usage and report issues to management.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management regarding transportation needs.
• Participate in training and education programs as needed to improve performance.
