Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior State & Local Tax (SALT) Manager for its Detroit area public accounting practice. The role leads SALT engagements, mentors staff, and drives growth across industries.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of SALT experience, active CPA (MST preferred), and strong leadership and client communication skills to deliver high-quality tax consulting and compliance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA required (MST preferred).
• 8+ years of State & Local Tax experience in public accounting or industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of state and local tax matters.
• Proven leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service.
