Qualifications

• Foundational accounting knowledge developed through coursework.
• Ability to conduct basic research, analyze information, and document findings clearly and accurately.
• Openness to learning emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, responsibly to support learning, efficiency, and problem solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in state and local taxation.
• Maintain and expand knowledge base in the multi-state tax area by working on various projects including conducting research and preparing memos on SALT issues (individuals, corporations, and flow‑through entities).
• Experience projects involving sales and use taxes, realty transfer taxes, income/franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, real and personal property taxes, excise taxes, taxes imposed on local level, and unclaimed property.
• Assist with addressing issues and questions for internal clients and potential prospects.
• Participate in our intern orientation, technical training and development program designed to provide the tools needed to contribute to client engagements.
• Learn directly from experienced associates, seniors, managers and partners with specialized experience and technical knowledge across numerous industries and services.
