Job summary

Salon ŌDE in Hopewell, NJ is seeking a motivated Salon Assistant to support our team of experienced stylists and colorists. You will learn how a top salon runs, from color to client care, while building hands-on skills through paid training and mentorship.

We train you in cutting, color, and styling, with an annual education stipend and license renewal reimbursement. No prior salon experience required; we’ll train the right person and help you grow into a stylist role over time.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license or enrollment in cosmetology school with a permit.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Warm with clients and a good teammate.
• Salon experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.

Salon Assistant at ŌDE

Job Description

ŌDE is a high-end salon at 64 East Broad Street in Hopewell, NJ, with a team of experienced stylists and colorists. As an assistant, you'll work beside them every day and learn how a top salon runs, from color to client care.

What You'll Do

• Assist with shampoos, conditioning and scalp treatments, mixing and applying glosses, and taking down color.
• Greet clients and keep the experience polished from arrival to departure.
• Keep stations, floor, and team areas clean and organized.
• Take part in ongoing training and education.

Where This Leads

We train our assistants in cutting, color, and styling. You'll learn the full craft from the people who do it every day and grow into a stylist role here. Most assistants begin color work within their first six months.

What We Invest in You

Your Craft

• Paid training and hands-on mentorship in cut, color, and styling with our in-salon educators, as well as outside educators.
• A $250 annual education stipend.

• Client experience training in the hospitality side of the craft: how we greet, consult, and keep clients coming back, so you're ready to build your own book.
