Job description

Salesperson

Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The salesperson should have a deep understanding of store inventory and maintenance processes. Position may be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

What is a Salesperson?

Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls, achieve personal sales goals, provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs, maintain store product and operational standards, and manage inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards
  • Manage inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock, etc.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ensure store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
  • General stocking (truck stocking and back‑stock)
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Store Driver

Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with inventory processes in the store. Position can be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly / monthly sales flyer
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ensure store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
  • General stocking (truck stocking and back‑stock)
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability

Physical Demands

Employee will predominantly be walking or standing, routinely talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work is usually indoors but may be outdoors in exposed weather, while installing batteries or wiper blades. Employee may encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation Range

Good faith estimate: between $13.15 and $13.98 per hour for a new team member. Rate depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, skillsets, and shift differential (if applicable).
