Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, provide excellent customer service, and help meet store sales and service objectives. This role requires basic automotive knowledge, ability to source parts, operate store systems, and perform DIY services such as battery installation and wiper replacements.

Work is in-store, with some delivery tasks and inventory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read safety rules, operating manuals, and parts catalogs
• Use basic math for parts and pricing
• Willingness to work varied days, evenings, weekends
• 2-3 years of successful sales in a retail environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and by phone
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach goals
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes including receiving, counts, and back stock

Job DescriptionWhat is a Salesperson?Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieve our sales and service objectives. The role has good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge. The role has the basic ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part time or full time.
