Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Baytown, TX is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, learn store operations, and meet sales/service objectives. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, store systems familiarity, and the ability to source parts from multiple channels.

You will assist customers in person and by phone, perform DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, maintain inventory accuracy, and support safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sales experience in retail preferred, with strong customer service.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Basic math skills for parts pricing and transactions.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and over the phone.
• Meet personal sales goals and contribute to store targets.
• Perform DIY services such as battery installations and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory: put-away, cycle counts, back stock, and replenishment.
• Keep areas clean and organized, including floors and restrooms.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as required.

Job DescriptionWhat is a Salesperson?Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieve our sales and service objectives. The role has good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge. The role has the basic ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part time or full time.
