Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead architecture, oversee staff, guide transition strategies and ensure delivery of high‑quality solutions.
• Architecture & Design: design Salesforce implementations, integrations, and data migrations following best practices.
• Prototyping & Development: build POCs, write unit tests, and configure declarative features (flows, rules).
• Governance & Documentation: manage governance, track risks, produce architecture diagrams and SOPs.
• Quality Assurance: execute test plans, review code and maintain strict coding standards.
• Stakeholder Management: support PMO, bridge between tech teams and executives, align configuration choices.

Job description

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Salesforce Solutions Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of high-security Salesforce solutions. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead, collaborating closely with senior Agency Leadership, product managers, and cross-functional Agile teams to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead technical architecture, provide staff oversight, guide application transition strategies, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Architecture & Design: Design and architect Salesforce implementations, integrations, and data migrations while adhering to platform best practices.
• Prototyping & Development: Rapidly build proof-of-concepts, write clean code (Apex, Lightning Web Components), and configure declarative features (flows, validation rules).
• Governance & Documentation: Oversee program governance, track risks, and create technical documentation like architecture diagrams and SOPs.
• Quality Assurance: Execute test plans, write unit tests, and conduct code reviews to maintain strict design and coding standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Support the PMO, act as the bridge between technical teams and executives, and build consensus around configuration choices.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Experience

• Core Salesforce: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, triggers, batch Apex, APIs, and declarative configuration (roles, profiles, dashboards).
• Modern UI & Integration: Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration protocols (SOAP, REST, BULK APIs, ESB platforms).
• Industry Clouds: Hands-on experience with Health Cloud and/or Public Sector Foundation (OmniStudio) is strictly required.
• Security & Environment: Solid understanding of DoD and government security standards to ensure highly secure, high-availability deployments.
• Methodology: Proven experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP).

Soft Skills

• Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to confidently articulate technical choices to senior leadership.
• Ownership: A proven track record of taking complete solution ownership and driving team alignment.

Education & Certifications

• Education: BS degree in Information Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Certifications: Salesforce Architect certification is highly desired.
