Note: This is not a traditional sales-management position. The successful candidate must be a proven enterprise hunter and player-coach who can personally originate, shape, and close complex Salesforce transformation opportunities while elevating the capabilities of the sellers reporting to them. Candidates whose experience is primarily account management, renewals, inbound lead management, or Salesforce license sales will not meet the requirements of the role.

Role Summary

NTT DATA is seeking a senior Salesforce sales leader to drive new business and expansion across strategic commercial and regulated markets.

This is a highly entrepreneurial, hunter-first player-coach position. The leader will be expected to personally develop opportunities, build executive relationships, establish a strong Salesforce co-sell network, and coach sellers to transition from transactional selling toward complex enterprise transformation and managed-services pursuits.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling large-scale Salesforce transformation, implementation, managed services, optimization, and AI-enabled solutions to regulated industries including financial services, insurance, healthcare and life sciences.

This leader will work closely with NTT DATA industry Client Executives, Salesforce Account Executives, solution and delivery leaders, and alliance teams to sell differentiated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate net-new pipeline through proactive account penetration, outbound selling, partner relationships, executive networking, and NTT DATA BU collaboration.
• Personally lead strategic Salesforce pursuits from initial qualification through contract signature.
• Coach a team of sellers on consultative selling, account planning, executive conversations, pipeline generation, value selling, Salesforce solution positioning and deal strategy.
• Target larger, multi-year engagements that combine Salesforce transformation with AMS, optimization, integration, AI, data, and continuous innovation.
• Build AI opportunities focused on agent strategy, development, orchestration, integration, governance, observability, and managed agent operations.
• Develop trusted relationships with Salesforce AEs, RVPs, industry leadership, and solution teams.
• Partner closely with NTT DATA Client Executives to penetrate named accounts and develop Salesforce-specific whitespace.
• Identify new buying centers, business units, Salesforce capabilities, and managed-services opportunities within existing customers.
• Establish disciplined account planning and quarterly whitespace reviews.
• Enforce rigorous opportunity qualification and allocate pursuit resources to opportunities with the highest strategic and economic potential.
• Partner with Delivery to ensure sales commitments can be executed successfully and at acceptable economics.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of enterprise technology or professional-services sales experience, with significant experience selling Salesforce services.
• Proven experience building self-generated pipeline through proactive hunting, executive networking, partner co-selling, and account whitespace development.
• Experience leading or coaching enterprise sales professionals.
• Demonstrated track record of personally originating and closing complex $2M+ Salesforce services engagements.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to independently lead CIO-, CTO-, CDO-, COO-, and business-executive conversations.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce transformation programs, including implementation, managed services, platform optimization, integration, and modernization.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce capabilities relevant to regulated industries, such as Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud/Data 360, MuleSoft, and Agentforce.
• Demonstrated AI domain expertise, including enterprise AI strategy, AI agents, orchestration, governance, data requirements, integration, and responsible AI considerations.
• Strong understanding of industry priorities, operating models, considerations, and technology environments.
• Established ability to navigate matrixed organizations involving client executives, industry leaders, alliance partners, delivery organizations, and technology vendors.
