Job summary

Join is seeking a senior DevOps leader to own Salesforce release governance and platform reliability. You will supervise end-to-end release management across development, testing, staging, and production, ensuring governance, risk mitigation, and change control are embedded in every deployment.

You will guide offshore DevOps maturity, mentor engineers, and collaborate with program leadership to shape roadmaps and continuous delivery strategies while driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise release governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering concepts: SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Deep expertise in Copado, Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, change management, and deployment governance.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional release activities and facilitating go/no-go decisions.
• Experience establishing environment management, drift prevention, and platform governance in large Salesforce orgs.

Release Governance & Deployment Leadership

• Own and govern the end-to-end Salesforce release management lifecycle across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Establish and enforce deployment governance frameworks, approval processes, release readiness criteria, and release decision gates.
• Lead risk assessments for major releases and define mitigation and rollback strategies for planned deployments.
• Ensure compliance with release management standards, audit requirements, and change management processes.

Reliability Engineering & Platform Stability

• Define, monitor, and report on key platform reliability metrics, Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and operational KPIs.
• Manage error budget policies and leverage reliability data to balance feature delivery with platform stability.
• Partner with delivery, architecture, and operations teams to improve system resiliency, release quality, and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on production incidents, release outcomes, and performance trends.

Environment Governance & Platform Integrity

• Develop and maintain environment governance strategies across Salesforce production and non-production environments.
• Implement controls and processes for environment consistency, source-driven development, and proactive environment drift detection and prevention.
• Provide oversight of branch management, version control standards, merge strategies, and deployment pipelines within Copado.
• Ensure alignment between environments through governance, automation, and configuration management best practices.

DevOps Leadership & Strategic Oversight

• Serve as the Offshore DevOps lead for Salesforce platform delivery, providing strategic guidance on release management, DevOps maturity, and deployment optimization.
• Mentor and coach DevOps Engineers and development teams on release governance, deployment best practices, and platform reliability principles.
• Collaborate with program leadership, architects, and business stakeholders to establish DevOps roadmaps and continuous delivery strategies.
• Drive adoption of industry best practices in Salesforce DevOps, release orchestration, governance, and operational excellence.
